This is not really on topic, so please forgive my lack of “netiquitte”. I hear that there will be a class on Interweave Knits’ Icarus Shawl. This is a project that is high on my to-do list, so if it’s in the works, I’m interested and know of at least one other person who is. I’ll be back in the 9 to 5 grind again soon, so if you could do it on a weekend or in the evening I’ll definitely sign up. Thanks!

Hi there – I just found your blog mentioned in a GSLKG communication. I DID get to the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival. I had to good fortune to be flying in and out of Baltimore on other business, and arranged to spend all of Sunday at the Festival. Unfortunately I’m only a knitter and not a spinner, so I can’t really report on spinning goodies, except to say that there was a huge amount of everything. It was a day of fiber lovers’ Nirvana! I came home with a suitcase of yarn to prove it. I would highly recommmend that all knitters and spinners keep an eye out on the Southwest Airlines wesite for cheap fares to Baltimore for next year. I’ll be writing a longer artilce for the GSLKG newsletter. –Gail Saxton
