Trunk Show, Part 2 and knit along

Part two of our Norah Gaughan Trunk Show is now on display at the shop through June 21st. Come in to see more of Norah’s wonderful designs and even try them on. I found it really fun to try on the different designs. Some things that I thought would not look good on me actually looked great on!

Our knit along will start this Saturday, June 21st at 1:00. You can choose any design from the Volume 2 booklet. Come join us. We’ll even give you a discount on the yarn you purchase for your project!

We’re back!

We are finally back from our trip to TNNA. I don’t know about Nancy, but I am still recovering! We had a great time and learned lots. Nancy has her eye on some great new yarns that should be added to our inventory in the near future. She also ordered some great stuff that will be coming in over the next few weeks and months – new sock yarn, great new pattern lines, Lucy Neatby videos, Unicorn Fiber Wash and Rinse (I swear by this stuff), knitting jewelry and accessories (you’ll love these), and last but certainly not least, Namaste bags!!

Just a quick update

Nancy Q. and I will be leaving for Columbus, Ohio today to attend TNNA. It will be a weekend filled with previewing all the new yarns for fall and everything knitting. We’ll be taking classes while we’re there. Maybe we’ll even come back a little smarter :)

Spinning classes will start soon. If you aren’t on the waiting list for the class, call the shop and put your name on this list. The class will be four sessions, hopefully consecutive.  Dates will be announced soon.

Coming soon

Just wanted to let everyone know a few things that I’ll be adding to the blog soon. I’d like to add a section with some of the shop’s free patterns. I’m in the process of compiling all of them right now. It may take awhile and they won’t all be added at once. Also, I’ll be posting our classes here so keep an eye out for that. Ali of Quantum Tea has volunteered to be our “roving” reporter at Maryland Sheep and Wool and is going to tempt us with all the spinning goodness she found when she gets back!

Edited to add: Ali’s flight was cancelled and she didn’t make it, but somehow her luggage did!  Sometimes fate isn’t kind.
